A collection of recent works showing a wide range and style of food packaging design. By being able to deliver design services online, LUNA DESIGN INTERNATIONAL has amassed a big number of clientele, not just across the United States, but overseas as well.

Food Packaging

A line of creamed fruits containing a medley of coconuts, bananas, pineapples and cherries are launched to excite the market with newer innovations using coconut based desserts and snacks. A Utah-based company launched this series with the mission to project specialty, healthy, tropical but not too exotic and a design that will hold up against major brands inits category. In 2017, Sam’s Club carried it as part of its holiday offerings.




Eighth Wonder Heirloom Rice From the Cordilleras


A group of Montana-based organic farmers who specialize in growing Heirloom organic lentils and specialty grains take a next step approach when they started to export to Canada. This paved the way to move to a new packaging format to conform with bilingual requirements, a design refresh opportunity with a new logo, fine-tuned to meet new markets and at the same time, streamline packaging processes. The result was a subtle transformation where the current packaging’s design elements were preserved yet given a cleaner look to the whole brand packaging.

NearVana

The Tea of Recovery

In 2012, three college friends ventured into Southeast Asia and discovered the art of tea farming and culture. Exploring the intrinsic benefits of teas and the lore surrounding each leaf, they set their sights on matcha. Not just a tea but a way of life to a cleaner lifestyle. So aptly named NearVana, from the Buddhist state of heaven, this is the closest thing, to that state of healthy body-mind restoration.

Pale blues, contrite, profound and calibrated restraint, but only the green tea illustration endows the design its soul..


Since 1935, the Breitsamer family of Bavaria, Germany has produced 100% natural honey, prized for its flavor and consistency. And in the design refresh, elements of lace, a realistic rendition of a bee and the golden honey texture as the main typographic element reveals old-fashioned, clean and keepsakes as its brand value.

A commemorative edition packaging to celebrate the 453th Anniversary of the Manila Acapulco Trade between the Philippines and Mexico.Two themes evolved here, one of a French chinnoiserie wallpaper pattern and an inspiration from an old lithograph featuring cacao and its idyllic ecosystem, the tropics, the birds, the vines and the flora.

A proposal for a special edition gift pack adapting the current design elements was developed for Its participation in the 2016 Winter Fancy Food Show. The set features the updated version of the Heirloom Rice series highlighting images of the legendary terroír, the world-famous Cordillera Rice Terraces in the Philippines.

Fruits Beyond

A Utah based conglomerate makes freeze-dried fruits based on freeze-drying technology, keeping the flavors inherent with nothing artificial to it. Sun-blessed, fruit harvests, foliage and seeds were the themes recurring in the Fresh Farms Freeze Dried Crisps. Retails in Sam’s Club and WalMart.

Philippine Cacao

So, finally, this queen... Hiding beneath palm trees and wiry, spiny bushes, emerges like a god, and the world sees it. In sweet abandon, from the fruits bore the pods, come this exoticism... And it is bitter, to its core, enrobed in sweetness, but it’s food from the gods and nothing at all!

Les Dames de la Nuit

Inspired by the impressionist styles of the 18th-19th century when a clandestine class of women who lurked in the shadows, dressed/un-dressed “to soothe, to please, to entertain and to rule”...

This collection of drawings were directed to illustrate and capture the spirit and vibe of the trade. Intended for a line of provocative French wines, LES DAMES DE LA NUIT, fulfills the purpose.

The ladies are bestowed with distinctive titles or appellations reminiscent of the wine/grape undertones. Thus, the Paramour, the Harlot, the Courtesan, the Concubine and the Chatelaine.


Merriment!

So, I step out of the room, and see...

Red wine from the red orchard,

it gets to me, why?

In sweet abandon, from the fruits borne and cherished,

come this gentle Tease...

And nothing else, but...Merriment!


Juice Everyday!

Was so named as an imperative to a healthful start of the day. This was intended to communicate an action to be taken and therefore, an action verb. This California-based company opted for a simple, direct and no-fuss design to focus more on the array of colors and the inherent textures, tastes and blends found in each variant. Yes. Juice everyday! It’s an order.
